1. Overview
MyIceGuide is a subscription service available at €4.99/month (monthly) or €49/year (annual), with a 14-day free trial for new subscribers. This Refund Policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for customers in the Netherlands, Belgium, and other supported regions.
This policy supplements our Terms of Service and Pricing page. If anything here conflicts with mandatory consumer law, the mandatory rules prevail.
2. How billing works
When you subscribe to MyIceGuide:
Receipts and billing history are available through your billing dashboard and the Stripe customer portal.
- You authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge €4.99/month or €49/year, depending on the plan you choose, until you cancel.
- New subscribers may receive a 14-day free trial (one per account). A payment method is required.
- Stripe may temporarily authorize €0.01 and automatically refund it.
- Your billing period starts on the date of your initial successful payment or trial conversion, as shown at checkout.
- Renewals occur automatically at the start of each new billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- VAT or other applicable taxes are included or shown at checkout where required.
- Failed payments may result in suspension of access until payment is resolved.
3. How to cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time. To cancel:
Cancellation stops future charges. You will retain access until the end of your current paid billing period unless otherwise stated at checkout or required by law.
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel billing unless you have also cancelled your subscription through the appropriate channel. Contact us if you need help.
- Sign in to your MyIceGuide account and use the subscription or billing settings when available, or
- Email support@myiceguide.com from your registered email address with the subject line "Cancel subscription".
4. Refunds
General rule: MyIceGuide does not provide partial-month refunds for unused time in a billing period once payment has been processed, except where required by applicable law or at our sole discretion in exceptional circumstances (such as duplicate charges or verified billing errors).
This means, for example:
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible. Processing times depend on your bank or card issuer.
- If you cancel mid-month, you typically will not receive a pro-rata refund for the remaining days of that month.
- You will continue to have access through the end of the period you already paid for.
- If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days of the charge.
5. EU consumer rights
If you are a consumer in the European Union, including the Netherlands and Belgium, you may have statutory rights that cannot be excluded by this policy, including:
Pre-contractual information about withdrawal, if applicable to your purchase, will be provided at registration or checkout. If you have questions about your statutory rights, contact support@myiceguide.com or consult your local consumer authority.
- Rights relating to digital content or digital services under EU consumer law.
- Rights regarding faulty or unavailable services where the Service does not conform to what was agreed.
- Withdrawal rights for distance contracts, where applicable and not excluded for digital services that have begun with your consent.
6. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank or payment provider without contacting us first, we may suspend your account while the dispute is investigated. We encourage you to email support so we can resolve billing issues quickly.
7. Service discontinuation
If MyIceGuide discontinues the Service, we will provide reasonable notice where possible and handle active subscriptions fairly, which may include access until the end of the paid period or refunds where required by law.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect the current version. Material changes affecting active subscribers will be communicated where required.
