Version 1.2
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MyIceGuide (the "Service"), operated at myiceguide.com by Anchor Labs. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use MyIceGuide.
MyIceGuide is offered to users in the Netherlands, Belgium, and other supported regions. You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to enter into a subscription agreement.
2. What MyIceGuide is — and is not
MyIceGuide is a secure digital vault and collaboration platform that helps you store important life and estate information, manage trusted contacts, and work with approved professionals such as notaries, funeral organizations, and advisors.
MyIceGuide is explicitly not:
Content you store is for guidance and organization only. You remain solely responsible for decisions made by you or others based on that information.
- A password manager or credential vault for login secrets.
- A bank, insurer, financial advisor, or payment service.
- A provider of legal, tax, medical, or emergency-response advice.
- A substitute for professional counsel or official documentation.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate registration information and verify your email address before accessing the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
Notify us immediately at support@myiceguide.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Subscription and pricing
A payment method is required to start a trial or subscription. Stripe may temporarily authorize €0.01 and automatically refund it.
Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. Prices may change with reasonable notice as permitted by applicable law. Continued use after a price change may constitute acceptance where allowed.
MyIceGuide is provided on a subscription basis at €4.99/month (monthly) or €49/year (annual), unless otherwise stated on our pricing page or at checkout. New subscribers may receive a 14-day free trial (one per account).
Refunds and cancellations are described in our Refund Policy.
5. Your content and responsibilities
You retain ownership of the information you store in your vault. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, encrypt, back up, and process your content solely to provide and improve the Service.
You agree that:
We do not routinely review vault content but may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and lawfulness of all information you store.
- You will not store content you do not have the right to store, including third-party personal data without proper permission.
- You will keep stored guidance up to date and review it regularly.
- You will not use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
- You will not attempt to bypass security, probe systems, or interfere with other users.
6. Trusted contacts
You may designate trusted contacts within your account. You represent that you have obtained any consent required under privacy law before storing another person's contact details.
Features governing when and how trusted contacts may access information may change over time. We will describe material changes on the platform or in updated Terms.
7. Professional accounts and collaboration
Vault owners may invite professionals or accept professional invitations. Client approval is always required before professional access becomes active. Organizations do not receive automatic access to vault data.
The vault owner remains the owner of their vault. Professionals receive only the access granted by the owner. Access can be revoked at any time.
Professional users may register without a personal vault subscription. Professional collaboration may include document requests, uploads, secure messaging, client dossiers, tasks, and related activity within approved access.
Additional terms for professionals and organization members are set out in our Professional Terms.
8. Organization accounts and verification
Organizations may register, verify their identity, and manage team members. KVK verification confirms organization identity only and does not grant access to client vaults.
Organization members may collaborate internally and work with client dossiers only where a vault owner has granted the required access.
9. Professional conduct and acceptable use
Professionals must only access information required for their work with a client. Misuse of access, unauthorized sharing, or attempts to exceed approved permissions may result in suspension or termination of professional access.
All users remain responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness, and appropriateness of content they upload, request, or communicate through MyIceGuide.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep MyIceGuide available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, third-party outages, or events beyond our reasonable control.
Features may be added, modified, or removed as the Service evolves. We may update the Service without prior notice where reasonable, and will communicate significant changes where appropriate.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that stored information will be accessible at any specific time, that trusted contacts will act on it, or that the Service will meet your particular emergency or estate-planning needs.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties that cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer protection law in the Netherlands or Belgium.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyIceGuide and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from or related to your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to MyIceGuide in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or €50 if you have not yet paid, whichever is greater.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law, including in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence where such exclusion is not permitted.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyIceGuide from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
14. Termination
By you: You may cancel your subscription and stop using the Service at any time. Cancellation stops future billing as described in our Refund Policy. You may request account deletion from Privacy Center in Trust & Compliance; an administrator will review your request before permanent removal.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, pose a security risk, or if we discontinue the Service. Where reasonable, we will provide notice before termination.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. We may delete account data after a reasonable retention period, subject to legal obligations. Sections that by nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) will remain in effect.
15. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
16. Consumer rights (EU)
If you are a consumer in the Netherlands or Belgium, you may have statutory rights regarding digital services and subscriptions that cannot be waived by these Terms. Nothing here limits those mandatory rights.
Where applicable, information about withdrawal rights for distance contracts will be provided at checkout or in pre-contractual information.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence require otherwise.
Disputes should first be submitted to support@myiceguide.com. If unresolved, competent courts in the Netherlands may have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer forum rules in your home country.
